I am a storyteller.

I realized today as I am building myself as a brand that I have no idea how to really do that. I have mind mapped to try and begin a logo, but with everything I do, design, photography, pastels, and cooking, I struggled to find a common theme to build on. Then as I was making dinner for my family, and I remembered this quote from a movie that Richard Gere was in called Autumn in New York. Gere's character plays a chef and when asked why he chose food, his response was, "It is the only art that truly nourishes." and while a beautiful sentiment, I couldn't disagree with him more. It nourishes the physical and when presented in correctly, it also nourishes the soul, and my solutions smacked me in the eyebrows! Food tells a story, it has a life force behind it, and in front of it. The chef reanimates and shares that gift in the story he retells us, just like design, photography, and fine art. It all brings about colour,  humour, emotion,  nourishment. So, as I begin to build this brand around myself, in almost all of my pursuits, I am storyteller at heart, and that is what I can offer others. I can help tell your story, whatever that story is, and present it as a gift of nourishment to others.
