Family Crest - Process

So as I am now a full time freelancer, I figured I should really start getting a schedule underway. But as I don't have six-eight hours of work as of yet, I thought I would go back and get some of those old projects done. After all, a big opportunity that I have in this whole process is really finding my voice. So I am beginning with the Draplin class on Skillshare to design my family crest. It has been really fun brain storming and researching this morning. Figuring out shape, line, color, and the type of illustration I want to use has felt so very freeing. I am so excited to see how this one ends, as it is an homage to my childhood in the early Eighties.
